Functional Assessments

Finding Your baselin and Building forward

LiferHave you ever looked at Google Maps?

The 10,000 foot view of google maps gives a broad picture of what exactly is happening, where the best routs are to take, and how many different ways there may be to get where you want.

Even better, you can zoom in… and out… to give you the best global, and specific information you need to make the best decisions.

A functional assessment is exactly this – but rather than looking at roads, the functional assessments your Kadia Occupational Therapists do with you look at your life, what you do and how you do it.

It gives clarity, opportunity to better utilise resources, and also support funding applications.

If you have a new NDIS plan, and have little idea of how to get to where you want to go, then a functional assessment can really help you find clarity in the overwhelm.

The outcome of the assessment will help you explore what possible resources could benifit you. As OT’s we look at all areas of life, and are well suited to helping you identify what other services are out there that can help you reach your goals without waisting time, money or effort.

These assessments are also often utilised to help get more funding from agencies such as the NDIS, particularly if your story is not so clear cut.
