Why Kadia?

“What makes Kadia different is that the culture isn’t something that gets talked about — it’s something you actually feel every day. The supervision here genuinely builds you. The team thinks together, consults together, and no one is left to figure things out alone. We work with strong systems, we’re encouraged to try new things, and the work we do for clients is something I’m genuinely proud of. I didn’t just find a job at Kadia — I found a place worth investing in.”

— Team Member, Occupational Therapist, Kadia OT

The true test of workplace culture, the times when the chaff of fake positivity is separated from those who truly care, is in the real problems. When an issue comes up how do people speak to each other about it? Is it a responsible hot potato?.

At Kadia there is a mutual understanding that no contact with the real world is immune to things going wrong and when they do we should all lift together. There is no utility in tearing each other down. It means we can navigate difficult situations, as can be common in Occupational Therapy, as a unit. We all have the support of each other.

A day at work in Kadia is rarely easy or stress free but in the morning I never feel the dread of having to interact with coworkers who are doing their best to tear each other down. I wake up in the morning and do not dread going into work. I feel uplifted by those around me.

Operations Support

Since being at Kadia I have accessed exceptional career development support with internal professional development, career and case coaching as well as supervision. The collaborative nature of the team is fantastic

Occupational Therapist

I worked at Kadia for over 5 years. Whilst I have now moved into forensic services to persue my interests, Kadia had great systems and supports which I have realised are not replicated elsewhere. Kadia gave me space to have a voice and to make real change.

Allied Health Assistant (now an awesome OT)

What stands out is the genuine respect present in the team. When problems arise, as they often do in Occupational Therapy, there is no blame game or responsibility hot potato. Instead we come together with a shared understanding that issues are normal and best solved as a team. Everyone’s input is valuable. There is a pervasive sense that we ought to lift each other up as much as possible.

Team Member

I feel well supported every single day, and I think that’s because we’ve built something genuinely special — a place where people are kind, capable, and committed to each other as much as the clients we serve

One moment that really sums us up for me is when one of our admin staff went to help a client who was vision impaired navigate to meet his support worker in person, because the Mable app wasn’t accessible to him — nobody asked her to do that, she just did it because that’s who we are as a team.

Team Member

Working in the world of disability and aged care has its challenges. Working with a team who deeply care for each other and their work makes the world of difference. I thoroughly enjoy celebrating incredible client outcomes, but also the development and growth of each and every team member. Together we are stronger.

Clinical Director

The team and leadership hold firm on the Kadia Values, this makes this a great place to work where we support and back each other.

Client Services and Team Wellbeing

I came to Kadia due to strong values alignment and I have not been disappointed. The support we recieve, and share with each other is so unique and real.
